Kids Yoga Teacher’s Training Course

As Yoga is a unique subject of practical discipline aiming at the holistic well being of the Kids- students, a non conventional unique approach of teaching and imparting Yoga has to be adopted to suit the needs of the students of different ages and standards. Be prepared to practice and learn to teach Yoga for children while laughing, dancing, playing, and singing.

Learn the course with a transformed relationship to play and a new access to the methodology through specific tools, games and classroom management techniques allowing you to teach and empower children!

Eligibility:
  • Any Certified Yoga Teacher’s Training Course from Institutes of repute
  • Physical & mental fitness are must to learn
  • Candidate must be above 18 years of age
  • A decent understanding and a command over English Language
Duration:
  • 1 month 30 hours – 10 hours internship  
CURRICULUM – KID’S YOGA:

The curriculum has been designed based on the needs of kids in different ages and standards. The need for the growth and development of a particular cognitive faculty like concentration, memory, creativity and management of emotions like anger and stress in the students based on their age has been considered and emphasised while retaining the holistic and integrative approach of Yoga.

METHODOLOGY OF YOGA TEACHING:

Profiles of faculty members

Dr Shamantakamani Narendran,

MBBS, MD, DCH (Royal College of London (UK),, PhD in Yoga for Pregnancy

Pediatrician & Pregnancy Yoga Consultant

After completing MBBS from Mysore University (Karnataka), in 1955 Dr. Shamanthakamani Narendran went on to get her Postgraduate Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from Royal College of London (UK), in 1960. She worked in various hospitals at UK before returning home in 1961. She got her Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in Pediatrics from Karnataka University, in 1967. She was elected Fellow of Indian Academy of Medical Specialties (FIAMS), in 1985. While practicing pediatrics, she got her Master of Arts (MA) in Kannada, MA in Philosophy and Diploma in Journalism from various universities. She is a recipient of H.C. Khincha Memorial Gold Medal. At the age of 75 she took her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Yoga Science for her thesis work on Efficacy of Integrated Approach of Yoga on Outcome of Pregnancy from Bangalore University, in 2006 under the guidance of S-VYASA founders. She was consulting at Republic Hospital, in Bangalore for over 25 years and Gunasheela Surgical & Maternity Hospital, Bangalore for over 30 years. Well versed in Indian Spirituality and Yoga, she had been a core faculty member of S-VYASA Yoga University for more than a decade. She continues to be the visiting neonatologist and pediatrician in Gunasheela Surgical & Maternity Hospital and Mahabodhi Mallige Hospital, Bangalore. She is one of the guiding force and the Academic Advisor at Adhyatma Yoga Academy, Bangalore.

Dr Subramanian A (Yogi Subbu Bhaiya)

Subbuji gave up his corporate career and shifted to the human engineering of Yoga- Spirituality inspired by the words of Swami Vivekananda.  He had served the world renowned S-VYASA Yoga University, as a senior faculty for more than a decade and had headed the Spiritual, Cultural and Extension activities. He had been the Assistant Registrar- Academics, S-VYASA and Course Director, Yoga  Bharati. Currently he serves as the founder Director of Adhyatma Yoga Academy. He has trained thousands of Yoga trainers across the globe. He is member of board of studies and visiting faculty at number of Universities in the country including Indian Institute of Science- Bangalore, TNPESU-Chennai, ABVHVV – Bhopal, MKU – Madurai, Reva University and others. He is a facilitator at DISHA, an organization conducting value education workshops at schools and colleges. He is Yoga advisor to Rashtrottana Vidya Kendra Group of Educational institutions and Head of the Yoga Research team at SAMVIT Research foundation which is implementing Yoga at hundreds of schools in Karnataka. Subbu ji has started the community of Yoga Mitra, a volunteering initiative of Yoga teachers. His book and workshop “All the Best” have benefitted thousands of SSLC students across the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in removing exam stress and bringing more focus. He has been felicitated with number of awards and recognitions for his contributions in the field of Yoga.

Kids Yoga has been his passion and has developed special Kids Yoga modules through fun and play way method. He has trained hundreds of Yoga teachers on these specialized Yoga modules for normal students , learning disability and special children; all these teachers are placed successfully in various educational institutions. Adhyatma Yoga has conducted several residential and non residential camps for kids and conducts regular kids Yoga classes at all its branches.

Sri Pramod Natraj is the organizing Secretary at DISHA Bharat and an expert panel member at Adhyatma Yoga. A gold medalist in Bachelor of Engineering, he left his corporate career to work in inculcating values amongst the youth of this nation. He has conducted thousands of personality development camps, value education sessions in hundreds of schools and colleges widely. He is part of a few other NGOs like Youth for Seva. He is an excellent youth motivator and counselor.

Sri Manjunath Sampath is the Head of Yoga Department at Rashtrottana Vidya Kendra Group of Institutions and SAMVIT Research Foundation. A passionate Yoga teacher with more than 20years of experience in Yoga Education, he is renowned for his unique and innovative way of inculcating Yoga and Yogic values through play way method, stories and songs.

Smt Ashwini Londhe is an expert in Child Developmental Psychology based on Indian Ethos.

Smt Sujatha Nagaraj M.Sc Yoga Therapy (S-VYASA) is the Chief Yoga Therapist at Adhyatma Yoga. Her specialization includes advanced techniques of Yoga, Garbha Yoga and mom and child Yoga.

Sri Sivaraman E, MA, MPhil, YTTC, Yoga Shiromani is the Chief Yoga Trainer at Adhyatma Yoga with his specializations in Shivananda Yoga and Hatha Yoga. He has worked in number of schools, to name a few, Jain residential school and Jain University, Bangalore.

Sri Kantharaj is an expert in Desi games and Krida Yoga and has authored a book and DVD on the subject and has trained hundreds of teachers and thousands of students across the state in Desi games and Krida Yoga.

Sri Praveen Mungarwadi BE(ECE), M.Sc(Yoga) is Chief Coordinator, Adhyatma Yoga Academy.  He is known for his systematic style of teaching and organizing courses and events.

Vijay and Anand are advanced Yoga Asana Trainers at Adhyatma Yoga. Their specialization includes rhythmic, thematic structural asana presentations and Krida Yoga.
