KRISHNAM VANDE JAGADGURUM
Global Festival of Divinity in Humanity
Celebrating the Universal Teachings of Sri Krishna
11th August to 11th September 2020
On account of Sri Krishna Janmashtami
“Five thousand years have passed and he has influenced millions and millions. Just think what an influence this man has over the whole world, whether you know it or not. My regard for him is for his perfect sanity.
Krishna preached in the midst of the battlefield. He who in the midst of intense activity finds himself in the greatest calmness and in the greatest peace finds intense activity – he is the greatest Yogi as well as the wisest man.” Thus spake Swami Vivekananda on Sri Krishna.
Sri Krishna is the pole star inspiring all – from children to the aged to the pinnacles of perfection. The mischievous pranks of child Krishna marvel the kids; his concern to the fellow beings and cattle inspires a common man; aspirants of successful career and business get thrilled by his leadership and managerial skills. He was a pastoral, a king maker and a master par excellence. He is considered to be Yogeshwara – the greatest of Yogis and his teachings in the Bhagawad Gita is Yoga Shastra.
Sri Krishna has influenced not only the religious and spiritual world but also the art, culture, education, science and society in India, but many parts of the world. His life and teachings have influenced both ancient masters like Veda Vyasa, Adi Shankara, Ramanuja, Madhva, Chaitanya and also masters of recent times like Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, Paramahamsa Yogananda and Srila Prabhupada. His teachings are ever relevant. It is apt that Acharya Shankara praised him as “Sri Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum”.
Bhagawan Sri Krishna’s life and message are the best solution to bring peace and positive well being amongst the public during the prevailing pandemic situation. Hence, Adhyatma Yoga in collaboration with Advaita Academy have organized a month long online Global Festival of Divinity in Humanity celebrating the universal teachings of Lord Sri Krishna under the theme “Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum” – with daily evening sessions from world renowned scholars and acharyas. The festival also has a cultural extravaganza for both kids and the elders with flute concerts, devotional chantings, dance, quiz and a lot more. The festival commences on “Sri Krishna Janmashtami” on 11th August 2020 and concludes on the Universal Brotherhood Day on 11th September 2020.
We welcome one and all to celebrate, learn and experience Krishna!.
Yours in Sri Krishna Seva,
